Stainless Hose Clamps for Hoses and Piping: A High Quality Alternative
Переглядів 3,5 тис.3 роки тому
I show the type of stainless steel hose clamps we use everyday for connections to hoses, radiator hoses, and roll piping. We have been using these for years and are much better quality than the ones you buy at Home Depot and Lowes. These clamps are made by Ideal. They may not work for your application but are a trouble free alternative as we have been using these for years and have had very few...
VFD Constant Pressure System Installation: Irrigation using a Water Well Pump
Переглядів 7 тис.3 роки тому
An overview of a VFD Constant Pressure System on a large irrigation water well pump. I go over the vfd drive we installed manufactured by Phase Technologies as well as the well pump, bladder tank, and piping installation. This variable speed drive was nice in that single phase power was only available, and the well pump size was a 20 HP. As they don't make well pump motors above 15 HP in single...

Have a breaker at house from main power. Not meter there anymore can I take wire from breaker and put plug on ther?
So you drill until you hit bedrock, then install the casing, right? Do you know you hit bedrock by looking at the cuttings coming up? The speed/behavior of the drill? My casing goes 40 feet. My friend's goes 300, the full depth of the well. I assume they never really hit bedrock in his situation?
As others have said, thanks.
How much room below the pump should I leave on my well? I am running into air bubbles after a little while of watering my garden. I’m thinking there might be some room they left below the pump. Maybe.
Thank you young man!
I've got a Grundfos 2 wire 10 SQ/SQE pump that's marked 110v on the housing. According to the manual on the pump side of the pressure switch it shows Line Neutral and Green wires. Mine has 2 black wires and 1 green wire. Should I assume either black wire can be used as a Line or a Neutral wire? You would think Grundfos would tell you what color the pump wires are but they don't.
I was hoping for a disassembly of the bladder . I have to increase the size of my outlet. hoping for easy cut and weld the larger flange.
Nice one Dude, thanks. btw... could not agree more re. patience.... have you noticed the correlation with mobile phone ownershi and use ??
ManyThanks!
Hi I am trying to connect to a Franklin Electric SubDrive 75 which is a VFD for a well. Says it shouldn't be used with GFCI or externally regulated generator. How do I know if my generator is externally regulated? I have a 5000W Generac generator. Can I use an inverter generator?
doesn"t the size of the pump affect this test?
I WAS looking at purchasing a double wide for myself in the country , with some acreage , BUT now that i,ve seen several video's of septic, and well water systems I will not even mess with such a complicated , and apparently expensive maintenance headache LOL Thx .
Great video!
I cant thank you enough for making these videos! We all know your busy as shit, and its cool of you to still do videos teaching us about stuff we otherwise would never learn. Just closed on my dream house, with 5 acres and it has a 249' well. I know nothing about wells, but with your videos, I can learn.
So can what components do you recommend for the separate control box that are better?
When do you recommend options in the video? It ended. Still waiting.
Great video brother. I’m going to change/repair a bladder tank tomorrow for work and I only have done it once before, years ago. This video refreshed my memories and taught me new things i did not know, now I feel a lot more confident and all thanks to your video. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for this video. I have this type of switch and I hate it. It constantly gets jammed/stuck and doesn't turn the pump on or off when it should. I've had my cistern overflow and lately I've had it get too low and burned up the pressure switch on my jet pump. Yeah, I know I need to have some sort of protector to stop the jet pump from running, but this was the setup when we bought the place years ago and we can't find a well service in the area that will come out and fix things up. The guy who used to work on our well system died several years ago. Anyway, the rod for the float either catches or goes sideways and has rubbed against the hole in the fiberglass lid of the cistern, making a bigger hole and allowing it to move around too much. The sensor that the arm is supposed to trigger loses its sensitivity over time. I have to constantly go out and check on it. I want something different rather than spending another $60 on one of these. Did I mention the cover sometimes gets in the way of the arm moving? Maybe I just have a lousy one or defective one, but I've had it for years and its been giving me trouble. I'd really rather use something different. I don't mind having something dangling in the water if it works better than this thing. I'm one of those people that has bad luck where bizarre things happen and things go wrong. So, I've had bad experiences with this switch.
I have a 8-1/8" ID decomissioned well pipe sticking out of the ground that needs a cap. What can I use to cover this?
PLEASE HELPME !!!!!! My water will be running fine for days, then all of a sudden peter out. Wait about 20-30 mins and it runs fine again for days. Any thoughts on this would be super helpful?? We are three sisters with no experience in this stuff. Thank you sooo much!!!!!
Thank you so much for this vid. I at least now understand how this part works.
Thank you for this video. I apologize if someone already asked this ? within this thread but aside from your pump short cycling are there any other indicators that would alert me to a hole in the bladder? Currently I have a 40/60 pressure switch on my system and after watching your video I was able to correctly set the pressure for the system and the house which worked great... but after about 8-10 weeks I have lost a little bit of pressure throughout the house which happens to be two story. So, once I set the pressure in the tank do I need to recheck it or possibly redo it on a monthly or bi-monthly or quarterly basis? Also, the inline pressure gauge at the bottom of the tank dropped to about 45lbs So to fix my pressure problem I adjusted it to read closer to 55 and I'm wondering if that's going to cause a short cycle as well?
Hey, Grant - I just picked up a RedLion 3Wire and I need to install a 14-30 plug for our generator. Unit came with a Control Box - guess we'll install it after we have built a pumphouse for the wellhead. Thanks for the assistance! I need to install footings and mix cement for concrete footings.
Great video, well explained. This answear why I am getting water from the valve air steam . In need of a new thank. 😢
Very good video. Could a guy use a 20amp 240 volt outlet as well? Thanks
How can one test a tank to see if it has a bladder leak? Is a leaky bladder the ONLY way for a tank to become water logged?
How do you maintain this aerator to unclog it every couple months?
Awesome vid
Would a solar pond aerator work if you send the air line all the way to the bottom of the well? Using oxygen from the pond air pump and powered solar so free to run. And no need to deal with the well pump running and or un filtered water clogging up your spray nozzle?
Thank you!!
How do u install an underground pressure tank?
Great demonstration. Trying to get my staff to understand this concept but really need a visualization for them, this is very helpful. Thank you so much.
Excellent video. It helped a lot! Thank you!
Thank u 4 tacking d time.
Thanks mane🤙🏽
Can you use a check valve with a foot valve to help with a straw type shallow solar. Well pump to help keep prime?
I have a water well system and I had one of those blue metal bladder /water tanks, like you say in the video, rust was created after water leakage occurred above the bladder. There also was diminished water flow, to remedy this issue, a well company was called in & changed out the rusty old tank with a new fiberglass, bladder/ water tank at a cost of $1500.00 dollars and this issue will never happen again.
Recently had damage to pipes from storm. Replaced damaged pipes and all of a sudden this relief valve has steady stream of water when system is on. Well only serves irrigation lines. What could be the reason and is it safe to run system even if this valve has a small steady stream?
Excellent job explanation I was wondering about that lever
What happens if your well is not cased all the way down??? will it cause collapse ???
I appreciate you uploading this
Should the relief valve always have a slight constant leak to the point there's a pool of water surrounding the well?
Hello very nice video! I would like to ask, I am finalising a design for my gravity fed drip irrigation and my source water is from 40m elevation away. Sould I put my pressure regulator still on the source or should I place it near my drippers?
Getting ready to replace my 30yr old AO Smith just because. Another video showed a 5 yr old Water Worker replaced because of leak
That looks like it was cut by a 4 yr old.
When you ran the pump for 20 hours, was it on full force or just through a garden hose half open?
Thanks dude.
I got 100 per min in Statesville nc area on 365 foot well
Thank you very helpful it's hard to believe all these other people make it so damn difficult to understand that good job thanks for keeping it simple!!
Beautiful demonstration. Thank you.
